i dont rlly have theories on my mind haha.. not a prediction kind of a guy but i saw alot of people predicting that jingis going to die which upsets me.
Though i have a feeling it'll be really sad for jingi since he's not rlly seen as expressive throughout the story so itss something I'd hope to find in season 2. I have a hunch hes going to get really sad (or maybe really angry who knows) and hopefully see myeong il help him out. I'm very intrigued in his character you see..
Back in ch 24 when Myeonggi was reading about the records that the prison had of Jingi and Heonjae there were multiple instances of Jingi ramming his head against the wall or consuming random objects that negatively affected his stomach to the point where a guard stated that they had trouble keeping him alive. I don't know if Jingi was doing those things because he was trying to fuck over the guards because he wanted something or because he was genuinely suicidal. Some people say that it's possible that Jingi had suicidal tendencies in the past and I'm afraid that if Jingi gets more depressed he could end up reverting back to his suicidal tendencies, if that was in fact the case in the past.
holy shit that might be it.. i remember seeing people say that they kept him in the prison so that he wouldn't kill himself or the uncle had something to do with it, so i guess that makes more sense. After all, he did have something to do with jingi when he was younger so that could truly impact him (Though i tried translating myself and he said that it doesn't rlly affect him. But that could be a really huge lie since we've seen him get post traumatic reaction towards the uncle) Its rlly sad.
One of my worst speculation is that he got into prison bc yeah.. he's a rapist.. but i have a huge feeling that's not it. He's also has records of his victims killing himself, so i wonder what what put him to he so chill with it (i mean he was a gangster before going into ochon so its not all suprising)
i am still stubbornly sure that his uncle was a pedophile and jingi who grew up with him was a victim, and maybe even took the blame since he said his uncle sent him to prison. that explains him trying to kill himself, freaking out whenever he sees his uncle etc. plus i can't think of anything other than pedophilia or maybe cannibalism that would cause myeong-il (who knew that jingi is a violent serial rapist who caused people to kill themselves and his brother is a perverted sadistic lunatic obsessed with him yet interacted with them somewhat casually) to have such a visceral reaction.
oh nvm just found out this was confirmed. jingi is so cooked tho, the author is clearly painting him to be somewhat sensible and caring for a person that acts like him. if some injustice were to happem to him i feel like he would just shut off and take it.
YEAH! i believe the uncle played a huge role too, that's why i mentioned i didn't quite believe that he did something huge to get into prisoj like heonjaw, it was all a bit too suspicious..
I'm actually so scared to see what would happen in season 2 its also confirmed that hes truly a honeys person and always keeps his word so i don't think whatever bad thing comes next would be his fault
I'm super curious about Jingi's life before prison. He's a rapist in prison but was he also violent outside of prison? In ch 13 Jingi talks about being an evictions expert and getting involved in shady business so it's possible he initially went to prison because of that but maybe he got an extension because of something else. Ugh so many questions
Okay so we what know
1. Jingi's sentence is lower than heonjee or whatever his name is as he was in his trial. But it's a serious crime since they are in the same prison
2. He was an evictions expert but he didn't physically evict people, he was more on the paperwork/legal side. He is clearly somewhat smart anyways
3. His uncle sent him to prison, in his words. His uncle who is wealthy(?), also in the illegal business(?) and can pull strings in the prison
To be honest i read this half assed, skipping most lore and sex scenes. Gonna reread it and comment my theories.

ive reread a bunch of times too but this is somewhat ive concluded from this story too.
But isn't jingis sentence higher than him? there was somewhere between the chps mentioned that heonjae was transferred to the same prison and the same cell as jingi. wouldn't that mean jingi was in ochon first wnd heonjae was somewhere else before being thrown into ochon? Jingi also mentioned to myeongil before that he'd been in the prison for 10 years (he could've just round that up but its possible) and heonjae hasnt reached his 10 yeat mark yet. But I'm also not completely sure because jingi is also coming out ot prison the year after so it could be his sentence his shorter. OR his sentence just increased because of the harming he did in the prison.
But i am gonna cling to the possibility that it was 70% of this was his uncles fault. if not, jingis killed someone BECAUSE of his uncle. hope you don't misunderstood me bc of some sort of apolagist he technically deserves more Yeats bc of what he done to myeong il and the other victims

Nvm, found it in your other post. Girly, if you screenshot the raws with your phone, you can click translate on them and it will give you a somehow rough translation of what they're saying, but it works. Takes some times but that's what I do.
most of the time the dialogue doesn't rlly make sense to me so i don't tend to do it but yeah ill try thanks!! :3

Same I read it first on Futekiya when it came out years ago and I had to reread it again when I found out it’s the same mangaka of a manga I was reading here. This one is really good
i remember the first time reading this and be like ohhj shit... what the hell is up with this manga...
But now this is the 3rd time ive read this and I've come to realized how much of a well written story it is... At first, i was pretty blinded by the manipulation tactic even after fukusake(?) got exposed. But, when the girl dude pointed it out I'm like “ohh shit..”
The ironic thing he said in the beginning ov vol 2 still stuck with me till now “Oh, i see. Don't let anyone take advantage of that kindness of yours.”
I also love how harada writes Shoukichi. I realized upon reading back we never truly get a grasp on how he feels towards fukusake(?). He never has actual feelings for him which was pretty fucked up, meant that every thing that was inflicted upon him was not even with his consent. Not to mention, the panel where he unfolded shou's blinds really scared me, i genuinely felt so bad to even continue reading. The little flinches he gets around fukusake, goddd i hope that white hair bitch rots in hell. I feel so bad for shoukichi holy shit
