It's so...out of the realm of what would happen in this era. It's too modern and out-of-place. Yeah, you can argue that it's a manga, but I've said it before andd I'll say it again, I don't really enjoy this arc. It's just fanservice and shoehorning in K-Pop culture into a series that hasup until now been fairly faithful to the overall mood and tone of Victorian England. It's disappointing that what could have been a simple case of a snake oil salesman using astrology and the occult as a means to steal blood for a yet unnamed purpose is now...this.

This manga has been one of my favorites for a long time. I feel the same, some may enjoy it and that's fine. But, to me this arc feels like fanservice combined with seriousness on the side. I mean the only times I'm interested in something is when we actually see a conversation where the characters are talking about actually interesting.

I don't mind some fanservice, but I feel like there has been more fanservice than actually anything of actual interest for the plot. Besides, Elizabeth and Undertaker.

This arc to me is basically like a filler arc. I'm trying to enjoy it since I love black butler but I feel like I'm reading a completely different manga.

I know! I love the way it captured the live concerts so well, but it does not goes with the mood Kuroshituji use. And it's strage, because all the other arcs have a lot of the time line references. This doesn't seem to fit, but it would have made a good extra or spetial or something. ( ̄へ ̄)

Yes, too out of the era I think. God dammit Ciel don't forget about your revenge thing (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Are y'all SEEING this shit!? Look at that winter wonderland, it's gorgeous! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

ShonaNingyo November 17, 2016 7:53 pm

Is it necrosis or internal bleeding? The pills say "take two or more for the pain". Is Winter actually feeling pain, I don't remember reading that he was, other than his chest hurting once in awhile.

I can't bear to think that he's actually suffering with constant aches and pains (づT³T)づ

Art is stylistic, but inconsistent and not that pleasing to look at; the characters are 1-dimensional and not very lively, especially the female lead; and the panels aren't very aesthetically pleasing. They don't really have a rhyme or reason or a flow to them that's pleasing to look at. Skip this one, it's not worth your time.

How can Zariya be this freaking good at the sexy yaoi?! (っ°Д °)っ

...but at least not 150% assholes like they were in the anime...so I GUESS these stories could constitute as character development, however contrived each one is( ̄へ ̄)

She deserves everything she gets. I can tell that if a man did something like this everyone would be saying "yeah, go girls!".

Fair is fair. ( ̄へ ̄)

No if a man did this I would feel the same that it's sad that no one deserves the way she treated them but she needs therapy not rape and murder! Y'all fucked up

^ I agree with you. I've been skimming and it's difficult for me to read, so I probably won't finish. I don't think Da-ae was right for messing with people's lives, but those men are not right either for kidnapping and torturing her. Harming someone else just because someone harmed you does not make anything or anyone better.

ShonaNingyo September 30, 2016 3:11 am

So y'all seem to be okay with someone being turned into a killing machine but a cat getting shot --it is implied to have been a bullet that would've have killed it instantly without pain--is where y'all draw the line? Okay, I see how it is.

Animal cruelty is bad, I hate it too, but there's a difference between killing an animal slowly by torturing it and executing it where it'll blink and it's dead. The guy could have stepped on the cat or snapped its bones and left it to die. The man's methodical but not sadistic, so I'm grateful for that. (︶︿︶)

    Boss September 30, 2016 3:18 am

Yeah, but he didn't have to kill the cat.

    ShonaNingyo September 30, 2016 3:42 am
Yeah, but he didn't have to kill the cat. @Boss

Lots of people don't "have" to do a lot of things considered evil, yet they do. I don't see how killing an animal should make you more shocked than anything else in this manga, like the social grooming and the fact that "I" was created so that he can't feel anything, period.

    FujoshiFox September 30, 2016 6:27 am
Yeah, but he didn't have to kill the cat. @Boss

Considering that the cat was badly injured and would've had a slow, painful death anyway, yes he did have to kill it. It was the right thing to do.

    yaoi fangirl October 2, 2016 6:01 pm

Agreed. All the people clutching their pearls but did not blink when I shot and killed that whole family with their baby. I love kittens, but i don't consider what he did cruel, the poor thing was slowly dying anyway.

ShonaNingyo September 30, 2016 2:51 am

The past arc in the German village made Ciel confront the fact that no matter how much he tries, he cannot and should not forget the things he has done to get where he is today. He has suffered and made others suffer, he has been subjected to cruelty and been cruel, and that all has made him who he is and has changed the relationships he has with people.

The fact that this side-story continues that narrative with the pages of highlights from his exploits is proof that Tsuboso is always thinking about the ways the Ciel can further change and mature as the series goes on. She's not a kind of story teller that puts her characters back at Square 1 simply for plot's sake. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
