The plot is lacking tbh with things keep on happening w/o any explanation at all. I hope it could improve especially in the areas of character development in the future. I know it still early so imma give it a chance.

If a zombie apocalypse actually happened every girl past the age of puberty would be dead because of periods. There's no more tampons so their movement would be limited, cramps could render them completely immobile, and losing so much blood every month at a time where food and water is scarce means they'll end up anemic. They'd die of malnutrition even if the zombies didn't get them.
Not that they'd be the only ones; extra weight, glasses, pregnancy, disability, chronic illness would all pretty much guarantee death.
I hope its related more to their familiar rather then their manifestation. I still wanna see them smol （/TДT)/

I almost skip the pages with eli and the empress dowager. I don't like them.
If you did that's a bit of a waste because then you're missing important details/developments of the story.
