I saw people talking about how the ml manipulated Taeshin and had him get gang raped for days on end and the mc later finds out but didn't do shit and instead still fell in with the ml and ends up with him. The ML goes to jail for a year or so but I don't think it's for what he did to the friend.

Yeah... Remember the jungle when the ML took MC to a shady mansion for solo concert and on there way home he mentioned someone got lost in the jungle and couldn't get out for three days? He was talking about Taeshin. Poor thing was getting hunted for three days. After all that torture when Taeshin confronts the ML the ML just shrug it off saying it seems like Taeshin enjoyed himself. It was the last straw Taeshin really saw him for himself this time. That the man he loved isn't even a human being even calling him evil won't suffice. The fact that Taeshin was still in love with that thing after all the shits he went thru made him sad beyond repair and then he took his own life cause he couldn't bear the conflicting feelings.
