genuine question bc I have read spoilers from the novel but im still confused on the hate for 2nd ML? Ik he's possessive and tried kidnapping/drugging tae and is "if I can't have u no one can" type person but ilay sucks ass too. he r@pes tae multiple times, is physically aggressive with him a lot, is also possessive, low-key also backstabbed him with his uncle previously.
their both red flags that are emotionally manipulative and both tried sleeping with each other to keep each other away from tae. aren't they on the same level? yet ppl seem to give ilay a pass and root for him. I don't get it? the reason why ilay gets to emotionally develop and become a good person is bc he got rid of anyone near tae and they can romantically develop causing a good development of himself. if 2nd ML was the ML, wouldn't he also get a chance to develop but since he's not, he's just stuck as the "villain"?
this is no hate to ilay bc I like him, I like everyone tbh. But im just confused bc I feel like an outsider LOL, like why is everyone so mad at 2nd ML haha
Because as a second ml he "cheated" on Tay. And Tay saw him do that and was like "he's a lovely boy". Everybody is just disagreeing in the lovely part. But everyone agrees that they both petty much suck.
ohhh tbh I don't see it in that way, ilay is OP and 2nd ML isn't. I don't think he was manipulated into sleeping with ilay but I think 2nd ML felt like he didn't have any other choice. he's yandere so his way of loving someone is extreme. plus they weren't together officially. also its not like ilay didn't participate in that action LOL. he manipulated tae a lot too.
I have seen ppl hate on 2nd ML in some other comments like "just forget him and go to ilay already", "hate that Twink" etc and he also has a lot of haters on TikTok. idk I just feel like the hate is overkill. but thanks for answering my question :)

I mean her development is there kind of? she knew she fucked up and acknowledged it, there was the metaphor of her going thru the same thing she put Anna thru but she knew she made her bed so now she lays in it. I feel a little bad but guess she learn the lesson the hard way; throwing a meaningful and years long relationship on someone she just meant and fell in lust with despite the alarming red flags that surrounded the duchess (her being promiscuous and basically has orgies all time, kept letters and manipulated her) but yes trust that woman over your childhood lover who has always wanted the best for you just bc you're horny and feel bad that the duchess is "lonely"

A lot of y’all are tweaking bc eunhyuk seems to be out of character, glaring at her, ghosting her etc. it seems from context clues that he has FORGOTTEN fl like her doesn’t remember her so I’m guessing it’s the amnesia trope.
Hopefully the author cooks or not who knows but if y’all want to drop, just drop it. This fandom has been known to complain every second of the story. I don’t remember a time where y’all don’t hate, dissect every character. First it was Su ae, calling her a sl*t etc, then dowha a b*tch, pathetic and so on. I’ve even seen raim lovers.
