so zigril also literally beheaded Kays paretns when he was a kid??? and he STILL married him?? he is such an unserious character. a wet napkin. limp noodle. not even a hint of a backbone to be found

ok heard, i didn't understand that bit. it sounded like Kay was saying "there were about a dozen" as in a rough estimate, and then zigril clarified and said there were 7 in total, all of whom he executed personally thus leading to his conclusion of Kay escaping.
the rest of my comment still stands as is lol

this story is funny (as in curious, not haha) bc realistically, the queen and rishar have the same goal. he never wanted to inherit, nor did he think he had the right to. this is rlly a battle between the queen and king with the kids as pawns. but rishar should just tell the queen upfront he wants etienne to inherit and they should direct their efforts towards changing the law or, idk, them getting married and it not mattering at all at the end of the day cuz theyll both be ruling together... but i digress.
im a few chapters behind at the moment but i had to step out and speak my piece before carrying on

That's what I thought too but the real problem is The queen want her son to be a king she can control.I don't think she will give freedom to Etienne even if he becomes a king. For Rishar, It's clear. He wants Etienne to be the most powerful man.Although both want Etienne to be the king, it's not still the same. And if the queen knows Rishar feelings, she will just use to her advantages.
the tl notes idk i think they're cute together
