Don’t get me wrong what she did was bad but at the same time, you could tell she had postpartum depression :( and that’s not something she could control and no one was there to help her go through it or try to understand

from what we saw in one of the previous chapters the person that the twins lived with whilst they were young said to the emperor that if u give me your blood I can heal any wound or something like that ( please correct me if I'm wrong) then he gave her his blood and I thing she ingested his blood and using magic she became pregnant so basically she tricked him and the twins aren't the empresses biological children
