The fact that this manga was made in the 90s made it even more amazing.
Despite having a few plot holes here and there, i really like this manhwa.. I feel happy all the time im reading it.
Can someone explained to me about the last chapter?
So basically, Kurokawa is saying that he likes Nekoya because Nekoya can turns into a cat. I understand why Nekoya was disappointed with the answer because Kurokawa's feeling of like doesnt seems to be genuine if that's the reason behind his affection.
Then, in the last chapter, Kurokawa was saying when he saw how Nekoya really wants to be friend with him, it made him fall in love, then the conflict is suddenly resolved?? How is that?? It still doesnt change the fact that his feeling is only because of Nekoya ability to turns into a cat?? Kurokawa even said that if Nekoya doesnt have that ability, he might not have fallen for Nekoya? How is this acceptable? Why did Nekoya forgave him? Am I missing something?
I kind of understood it as "it's bc he can turn into a cat that he has that kind of personality (trying his best and all)" and that's why he fell for him. Adding to that, he also said how his human body looked like a cat and was beautiful. tbh it was really confusing so I might be wrong

I have read this twice (since I forgot about the plot after the first read) and I got mixed feeling about this. This is purely a personal opinion of mine..
1. The author intends to be poetic and to illustrate a melancholy ambience - the drawing manage to that to a certain extent though not completely but the story progression and overall plot failed to do so. I think one example of manga who have succeeded creating that sort of ambience, plot-wise and drawing-wise is Kimi wa Natsu no Naka..
2. The past life of Hayakawa which caused him to be as loose as he is, and to quit music, seems to be a bit shallow and not justifiable..
3. The conflicts btw main character also seems to be very vague and difficult to understand. The author seems to have a different plan for the conflicts on 1 chapter and then the plan shift all the sudden on different chapter. On top of that the conflict resolution also felt anticlimatic and weak. The main leads' characterization were not consistent for every chapter.
4. The long chapters were unnecessary considering that theres no real conflict btw the main character. Too many unnecessary scene that doesnt serve any purpose to move the plot. A volume should be enough to tell the whole story without that unnecessary scenes and characters.
It's a decent read, but i think the rating is too high for this manga.

Hey unpopular opinion, i agree with you. Well maybe since it's a decent read with just fluff and "unproblematic" plot that it haw quite the high rating? But yep, the plot is stagnant. And yep, Kimi Wa No Natsu Naka izza a bomb, i like that author's work.
I really hope that Yiyoung's feeling will dies a little bit or even if its not, he will never show his feeling to Director Kang anymore and then Director Kang will be left wondering and eventually fall deeply in love and he will be the one chasing Yiyoung shamelessly instead.. ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
I always come back to this manga and read chapter 4, page 20 to 29 to feel an actual heartache.. Every time i read, i can actually feel like my heart is being stabbed..
