So many people in this comment section are inexperienced and young and it shows. Being a parent changes your life. Of course, the child bears no sin- it wasn't his choice to be born. But being a parent isn't as easy as people in the comment section seem to think. Especially a mother, who has to physically and mentally bears the burden of her changing life, status, body, mind, environment. And while it isn't the child's fault at all, people seems to be too hasty in judging the MC, who herself seems to be going through extraordinary circumstances. Her husband may have felt bad about her choice of words, but he is in no place to take it up with her because he's been a shitty partner through and through. His attitude could have changed a lot of things. This isn't to say the MC isn't wrong- she still remains the primary culprit as far as neglecting her kid is concerned. But maybe don't overlook the fact that she was suffering deeply too? Maybe realise that marriage and especially parenting is supposed to be a combined effort.
Also, nobody seems to have a problem with how an equally shitty parent her husband is. Wonder why that is?
