Read the synopsis of this story. It seems that the emperor does not love him and is only using him. Becoming the emperor concubine, only to realised he was used and meant nothing to the emperor. He is just one of the many concubines. Angsty.. Even before I start reading the novel, my heart already ache for MC.... I know it's going to be painful to read this... yet, I am drawn to angsty story.
It's fruitless. I have feeling baby will be broken and likely seek death by suicide. Seme maybe in the end will seek death too in hope to gain some forgiveness by Yeonjo.

The toy boy friend that got Yeonjo into this situation might seek help from the other lord that used to be with Yeonjo. The lord save Yeonjo and send him away to live a new life somewhere else. While seme got distracted searching for Yeonjo and lost his fight against the opponent that he is trying to get rid in Gilju and got overturned.
I started the yaoi journey more than 10 years ago before korean manhwa is a thing. There are few japanese yaoi authors that I really liked. kamon saeko is one of them. I still love her art and story even now. I especially like Royal Fiance and hatsujou Animal.
Read the novel last year. The emperor has some sort of mental disorder. He does not feel empathy. Hence, he did what he did. But the emperor love uke. He change himself for him. He stopped killing and gave up his long time planning of building the grand palace/castle on where uke mother was buried. The emperor has gotten weak overtime from the toxin accumulated. Because uke has fallen in love with the emperor, he gave him the antidote. The antidote nearly cost him his own life. Due to the confliction and gulit, uke fell into depression. The emperor let him go and watch over him from afar. In the end, uke went back to the emperor as he loved him. He asked his mother for forgiveness for loving the emperor and wanted to be with him. Uke continue to live with gulit. From time to time, he would sleep walk to the same spot staring at the same distance I think where the mother is. The emperor know about this and watch over him quietly whenever he sleep walk in the palace. The end. LOL.
I wish he had been with Lord Ronhiljo instead. He is such a green flag..

Uke does not have a name because he was born out of a human and a imae. Imae names are given by the tribe chief when a child is born but he wasn't given one as they do not acknowledge him as one of them. He was grateful towards Lord Ronhiljo but the one he love is the emperor. Sleeping with Lord Ronhiljo would mean poisoning him. That is why he rejected him. But uke let him be the one to named him instead of the emperor. Once he has a name, the name will be carve into one of his eyes. He wanted to repay Lord Ronhiljo in some way for his kindness and love towards him. Actually, the emperor has been looking forward to name him and was thinking of a perfect name for uke. Uke saw the name on a book that the emperor has wrote on. The name is the color of the purple ocean sunset that resemble the color of uke eyes. Uke loved the name from the emperor. But he still decided to let Lord Ronhiljo name him to repay him.
Inseob inner thoughts: the most beautiful thing is right infront of me. Aww.. Honestly, Inseob needs to let go. He is creating his own misery. Doesn't mean he needs to be happy with ML but at least, starts living his life.

Being the one in love sucks. At least, in the case of lee. When you are too infatuated with someone, you could not helped yourself but cling onto that hopeless relationship even when you know it's wrong and you should let go. A person in love was held hostage by that strong emotion that you are feelings to think clearly and often in denial. Most times, people with experience in relationships are more realistic and has better control of their emotions like the team leader.
It's nice to have a handsome and young sugar daddy. Well, the trade off is you must be able to take his abuse. That's how the world works. You were paid to make him happy. Not the another way round. Even at work, you would also experience some form of abuse from your superior, colleagues or customers. Even most parents would not be kind to you all the time. No one in this world is selfless that just kept giving without expecting some form of return. Getting off point. lol..
In the case of ML, he was threatened and forced into a relationship with him. So, he couldn't get away even if he wants to due to his situation. But he is getting comfortable without having to worry about money being with him. Imo, being with abusive ML is little better than being chased by loan sharks. Also he does not have much of a choice. Is either abusive ML or the loan sharks. Loan sharks will never be kind to you in any situation. They will prositute you, beat you up, sell your organs and so on if you do not have money to pay up.
