Y'all I assure you Taeju dgaf about whether those punishments are “ok” or not, his family neither. They’re morally grey characters from the start. Hell, he has no moral compass which is why this story was fucked up at the beginning wasn’t it? His character development only concerns developing empathy, self-reflection and respect for euihyun and euihyun only, it’s pretty clear.

I mean shinpei’s been a yandere since the beginning, so I never minded him going back and forth from sanity to insanity. in fact, its part of why I like this. Plus it just makes sense for him to be mentally unstable considering his upbringing and his life. The semblance of normalcy he was gaining with her blew off with all that’s been happening recently, and are we surprised ? What I’m anxious about is another thing… the author’s stance… I really don’t know where she wants to go with all this. I wish I could say I trust her, but I’m aware of how she can drag a story down and twist it uselessly judging by her previous work (which was also super good before tasteless arcs). Sighs.
The way I would’ve just threatened everyone I would kill myself early on if they didn’t let me tf alone. Like wdym I barely have any time to live, but I’m surrounded by all this bullshit. I’m surprised satoko didn’t play that card yet.
