SPECULATION :
If you think about human nature…. Am guessing igniting her sexual curiosity will make her feel as though it fills the emptiness she’s always felt from lack of social interaction/warmth/love (her father’s conditioning).

Everybody who gets close to her are snuffed out, so when this exiled prince proves otherwise; won’t be killed straightforwardly/easily due to political circumstances, strong enough to survive ploys (I imagine he’ll be smug about it + smirk as he reassures her with that superficial/player’s charm, “I won’t die”).

I’m guessing she will view him with newfound hope, as the one and only person she can be close to (bc he won’t get snuffed out) thus becoming very dependent & attached to him akin to animal imprinting? (Hmmm.. Maybe that’s how he’ll fall for her.. if she’s portrayed as this amusing curious naive straightforward endearing hatchling with no sense of danger, following/believing everything he says with twinkling innocent eyes)

As the lesser evil, he’ll steal/free her from her greedy father, overthrow queen / other prince, take the throne.. but how exactly will she live as queen? Depth or shallow? I won’t know until her character develops

Am guessing the effects of orgasms will feel like a potent drug to her due to limitations of “allowed” activities in her life that would induce “reward” hormones (i.e serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, oxytocin). I mean, if she was allowed horse riding, exercise, painting, music, pet animals… would the introduction of sexual pleasures still be as addictive to her? Reckon she’d have at least some resistance then, as opposed to when she’d been completely starved of affection (aside from 1 maid, and sister—both dead).

People who’ve read raws / novel / ahead, how far off am I? lol

Am VERY CURIOUS how all of this will unfold, also her character development:
(1) at which point will he fall for her?
—(a) what would've been the decisive factor?

(2) will he admit/confess at some point having had manipulative intentions?
—(a) how introspective/guilty will he be?
—(b) will he redeem himself? how would he redeem himself?

(3) how will she develop as a person?
—(a) will she mature as a person?
—(b) or will she become bold / quirky / wilful instead, due to unusual circumstances?

The introductory setup seems bit similar to Savage Castle’s but character development will probably branch out differently. Hmmmmmmmmm will be boring if she’s simply immature or simply matures over time though.

I vote for, “acceptable eccentric quirky mix due to unusual circumstances”. Unleash 300% at first taste of freedom because she’s been caged all her life; go completely wild (but not vile), unconventional, free spirit. If ultimately no harm was done—after her character development / realisation—I’d like to see her playfully punish (tease/smut/whatever) him for the trickery + manipulative intentions he harboured at one point.

The simplest solution to save the story would be to introduce a different ML.

And Licht (another orphan) probably offered himself so he could follow her. If it was Indentured servitude (serfdom >>> Ministerialis?), he probably has no/little savings and no power aside from physical swordsmen skills.

A darker scenario (another guess) would be the duke assassinated her parents because he wanted to own her/golden hair as a political asset.

ok new speculation, maybe exiled prince frees her, expose the dead sister marriage setup, fake marriage with FL in order to claim the throne BUT she doesn't live in the palace because it doesn't suit her, so Carlix and FL end up using each other, go their separate ways (i mean, if all he wanted was to reclaim the throne; surely he would let her go out of guilt if he came to love her?) and FL ends up with that other guy living freely with the eccentric quirky character development, after Carlix crushes duke out of resentment or whatever; thus other guy's freedom from whatever probably-unfair contract with the duke.

well then, back to anticipating the turning point

lol find Priest Ernell really attractive because of that seductive/dangerous charm; also because he has powers akin to magic + seemingly an overpowered, competent, and astute/intuitive character......

some of the panels seem to suggest he reads minds or something (i.e when he simply looked at the dark magicians and knew it wasn't them. When Lewellyn was thinking of getting out and sleeping with some random person, he suggested it'd be better to spend the night with him. When Lewellyn was comparing Almon to Ernell during foreplay and Ernell "teasingly/mischievously/shrewdly" asked what was she thinking of)

...Like the sort of person almost impossible to trick/trap/deceive.

the overall clothing designs + detailings are absolutely gorgeous :3

I rarely comment on stuff I've read but..... everything about this has been absolutely perfect; how their string of thoughts and behaviour panned out, felt relatable and accurate even, when you think about the intricacies/reality of human nature. The storytelling was immaculate; it didn't have much unnecessary pointless frill/drama (if any at all), pacing wasn't dragged around all over the place. Read the whole of it in one sitting, completely engaged as I watched it unfold :'D

FL Hee Soo's method of dealing with the gradual lack of faith in men from her dating experiences, how people behaved with her new persona/mask, her detachment from people in general, the defensive wall she put up for social interactions, the flight response in uncomfortable situations, her disinterest regarding other aspects of her casual sex partners' lives, and her thoughts of realisation when she spent some time not just having sex but some level of friendly conversation.

ML Chae Gyeom's shrewd but understandable calculated grand plan, thought process from his perspective. The cause and effect patterns; how she was being introspective/self-aware or finally admitted how she was dealing with everything and why she was doing it, how he was aware or guessing/predicting her reactions/behaviour in the situation, his reasons for his actions. How they revealed their cards eventually.

How her sex partners reacted, the understandable irrational emotional outburst when she caught them off guard... and acceptance in the end (I suppose they *technically* could have been *more* bitter about it and lashed out immaturely after her attempts to provide closure, but that would depend on how obsessive/vengeful they were as a person).



The casual sexual "bond(s)/relationship(s)" were ultimately ambiguous; it's not as though she'd been completely transparent with the extent of it (not that she was obligated to) nor dropped the veil revealing her true/raw/unfiltered character (as one would tend to do when they don't care what people thought of them - enough to maintain a certain image)..

She wore a flirty/playful persona, an extension of how she learned to (deal with/manage) social interactions rather than being serious/stoic/pragmatic -how she originally was in school- which proved more effective/advantageous for social interactions, that's just how she developed/grew up as a person due to how she was treated; thus it (this mask/persona) allowed room for "fantasies"/their own interpretation of who she was or the potential of what it may become (based on that persona) - apparently it's not uncommon for people begin romantic relationships from repeated casual trysts with the same person.

In the end, it was more or less superficial since they barely had any *real* heartfelt communication with her, they didn't truly know her and she didn't let them in either; just lonely people bundling up together for sessions of simulated affection/comfort (which eventually grew on them from the repetition and since they weren't emotionally detached like her) - led them to wanting more (i.e. commitment or exclusivity) as expressed with their hints at sounding her out, meaningful gestures (birthday surprise), etc.



As far as I can tell, she's pretty but very introverted; the schoolmates were just being people (human nature and all). Girls' jealousy because she was a certain level of "pretty", teenage boys being teenage boys only looked at her with sexual curiosity rather than befriend her (Had there been a girl or a few girls who behaved like the ML and approached FL first, forming a genuine friendship... FL might have turned out differently).

She didn't make an effort to socialise and join a group either. Eventually she no longer had expectations/trust in people based on her observation of their behaviour depending on her persona (new school). To her, it was pointless to go any further/deeper with the sex partners, nor did she bother with forging friendships probably because she concluded while growing up, "people are shallow and none of it is truly sincere anyway, so what's the point". Emotionally detached.

Only person she ever let into her world (before she wore a persona) was ML Chae Gyeom when they were young because he happened to be there + reached out to help when she was in a really vulnerable situation; and because she was so socially isolated, this sort of gesture would assign some form of significance/meaning.

It's quite a narrow/closed off/lonely world she lives in, if you think about it.



It felt like I was actually witnessing a *rather realistic account* of human nature/emotional growth and not just something spun from complete/half-baked imagination without any sort of proper reference;

well, on the off chance that they hadn't simply decided that it'd be easier + less complicated to just find *any* decent enough stranger; make compromises, combine assets to secure better housing, form a family unit (make do with what's available) like everybody else because it's seen as miserable when you don't have somebody to handle tasks/problems, split responsibilities/distribute load with, support each other as you grow old, get health examinations, fall ill.

some of the words translated as, “well” or “huh” = “en” (sound fx for mm ok/yes) or “Hou” (supposedly sound fx for roar I think), “great aunt/Evil aunt/official holiday” = menstruation, “roll away” = get lost, “noob” = xiaobai (don’t know how that happened )
