Ethan set the binoculars aside and readied the light machine gun slung over his shoulder. By now, we’d tracked the positions of all three impostor soldiers near the clock tower.
“Looks like today’s a good day to relieve some stress,” Ethan said with a grin as he loaded the gun, his excitement almost palpable.
Then, without hesitation, he aimed into the air and unleashed a relentless hail of bullets.

From the clock tower, someone was firing nonstop. The relentless barrage of gunfire filled the air—a light machine gun, no doubt.
“Damn it, what kind of lunatic is that?”
There he was: a man in a police uniform, perched on the clock tower, unloading his weapon into the sky like a madman.
“Of course, it’s a cop. F***ing great,” Frank cursed bitterly, checking the situation outside the window.

Ethan? Sir Ethan? Where had Frank heard that name before? He couldn’t quite place it, but he was sure that it referred to the lunatic firing a barrage of bullets from the top of the clock tower.

Well everything is basically a setup for the smut, in various forms really; basically some sort of an excuse to fit into the plot, to lead up to the smut with multiple men.

Checked how far the manhwa was and it's been ages since I read the novel but was surprised we're only this far into the into the story ⊙.☉ Maybe it's time to re-read the novel. And I got pretty far as the war has segued to outside Cronos and even then, there was no romance (I was so happy about that). Little thing to be happy about but romance really had no place being in this kind of story.
By the way, just had a thought… they were all trying to conceal her eye colour, but what if it was just genetics?

Her mother has amber eyes (which is rarer?) So I mean, technically they *could* be related.
