Later she had an encounter with emperor and he said he'll help (emperor isn't nice just so u know, he likes drama btch)anyway so she became a fake empress to protect her and her son, she wants to kill 2nd prince coz if he becomes thr emperor he'll kill her first.

It makes me wonder if this is the Author's way of processing their own trauma. I wonder about that for quite a few authors to be honest with you. They allow their MCs/Ukes to go through the most heinous situations and sometimes, it's done by the ML/Seme, only to have the MC/Uke to forgive them completely. No redemption or hardly any for that matter for the ML/Seme. What's the point of having the MC/Uke go through all that if nothing changes or there's just a band-aid placed on an open wound?
