The disturbing part about readers thinking that He Tian's way to treat Mo with both discipline ( beating him like those guys did when Mo upsets him) is totally balanced by the times that He Tian shows his 'care'.
Any abuser/beater have the same behavior with their 'servants': be a good boy/girl and they are really kind to you ... disobey and upset them, you got your 'training'.
Girl, if you really think He Tian is a perfect boyfriend, I beg you to watch some PSA about the danger of confusing ownership with love. There are real He Tians in the world and no, they are not the kind of man you should be wishing for. You deserve to be loved, not owned.

So, no Jian Yi and XiXi can be classified as a love story but Mo Guan Shan and He Tian will always be about a dominant male who tamed his pet into submission with both discipline and a treat when he was a good boy. To wish He Tian as boyfriend is to wish an owner, a master and accept a destiny of property. It's fantasy in fiction, so no harm but readers like you who romanticize and call it 'love' are what blurs the line if yaoi readers really know what abuse is.
Do you think He Tian/ Mo Guan Shan will ever be a balanced relationship where Mo Guan Shan has a much control and say as He Tian? Do you think their sexual life will be a choice? What Guan Shan does and what happens if he disobeys? Okay, if you think this relationship is not abusive when transported to real life, there is nothing much to explain.
I think that all of you should start with 'In my opinion'. Instead of claiming something about you don't know If It's going to happen or not. If you want a 'Master' and 'Pet' relationship go and read 'make me bark' or 'An easy target' ok?
In my opinion, I think we can all agree that the lines in fiction are often blurred for the sake of plot. The point of good fiction is to explore situations which can't be explored in real life and bring about discussion of those situations.
We can all see that Tian is both dominant over Mo, demanding he wear the earrings, making Mo cook and clean for him and punishing undesirable behaviour whilst at the same time indulging him by taking him out for dinner and protecting him. I think many people fantasize about having someone who is kind only to them, who speaks softly only to them, who loves only them and that is most likely where Tian and Mo's relationship will end up. There is nothing wrong with enjoying this as a work of fiction. AS LONG AS we are able to acknowledge that Tian's behaviour in THE REAL WORLD is unacceptable. Even people who engage in dom and sub relationships have discussions about rules and safe words, which someone in Mo's place isn't being given. With most of us probably having read many yaoi/shonen ai stories, we can assume that Tian and Mo will end in a happy relationship, but we have to be careful about allowing the common themes of rape/bullying/forced dominance that we accept in fiction, to not be ones we accept in real life.
tl;dr Nothing wrong with enjoying the dynamics of Tian and Mo's relationship and fantasising about a similar one within the realm of fiction. Don't let yourself or others be treated like that in REAL LIFE.
I witness some situation where a man physically hurt his wife in real life, infidelity too, but as bystander I can't do anything about it, and "it's an adult matter" they said. But when I ask the wife later on why she can't leave him, she'll answer 'he's originally kind" and some good words. I can't help but think is this the true form of love? If love would make me submit to a person because of their certain kindness, that blinded their bad acts, I don't want to love, and maybe that really isn't love what they felt, I begin to doubt their feelings which I shouldn't. For now, I can't pry on adult matters, but when I become old enough and my friends or someone I know will experience this, call me meddlesome but, I'll talk to them and try to make them realize that there's something wrong, tho if after realizing all that and they still want that person, I won't stop them. Because how can I stop someone so determined. #－.－)
My dad always told me that abusers only need to say three things to convince someone to stay with them:

It is hard to convince someone in that situation because they remember what it was like when the person was nice to them, and loved them and the abuser manipulates them to think that what is happening is normal. We can only be there for them and try to help them. That's not being meddlesome, it's being supportive.
Unfortunately, lots of people think that being single is worse than being in an abusive relationship because they are afraid of being alone. That is why they put up with terrible things for "love".
