ik it probably seems like such a black and white situation but unfortunately its not. there's a good amount of factors to this, such as; uncle is in a position of power, and also has connections that could aggravate the situation by harming MC's brother, possible harm and/or separation of the MC and seme, could get the uke 'punished' more because of the problems that would arise from the seme intervening
like, think about it this way- seme barges in, beats him up or something.. then what? they could run, but where would they go? where could they hide that the uncle wouldn't have some connections to that would discover them? what will happen to MC's brother? if they are caught, what will happen to MC? what will happen to seme? there's just too many risky scenarios which is why seme is going about it with caution. he has a plan in mind that needs to be carried out carefully in order to protect not just the MC, but MC's brother, or MC would have gone through all those years of suffering for nothing, and would suffer major emotional stress if his brother gets caught up.
