This one is the first arc ending
Alois attacks Bern with a knife. Cut towards the epilogue where there's a funeral for Bern, who fakes his death so he can live in peace with Lizia and strike a huge blow towards the Queen's faction. Evidently she had never really given up on trying to kill him, juts being so visible about it, as a letter from her to Alois implies that she was the one pulling the strings. The queen does get sort of what she wants, however, as the first prince willingly gives up his claim and the second prince is made crown prince.
Katarina takes over the Dukedom. She also starts hinting to Ionius that she wouldn't mind marrying him. Lilia voluntarily joins a monastery, but Lizia doesn't think it'll be permanent and that she might leave once she is more at ease with herself.
The bad guys end up in the prison that Bern went to in the original game, where they live in misery.

I guess so, they did choose their own future rather than participate in da palace's affairs. Which is a sureball death or misery for the both of them.
Many of u may not like the romance cause he's our beloved mc who's bound to save the alone. But the romance is actually maybe only 1/100 in the plot. Like literally. The manwha focus more on action and our mc. (And our mc actually like fl, he just doesn't show it. Since he needs to do more important things) In their relationship our fl get left behind by our mc like a loooot of times but she never ever complain since she understands him. And their sweet moments...is not really that sweet, they only have normal moment where u can see on the everyday life so it's actually quite nice. And again romance is the last priority of this manwha. Like literally. He even left her for about maybe 40 or so years for the sake of the world. And fl is not weak nor the typical fl who blush or stutter or show sign of tsundere personality. Nope no. That girl can fight and command.
40 years?????? Was it in some kind of time anomaly where he returns the same age as if nothing happened or is everyone super old by the end of that time jump?

When I started reading I thought it would turn into possessive, obsession and yandere kind of plot, but it didn't instead it turn into angst angst and angst with a hint of slice of life. I can totally feel the emotions, their fear, their sadness, their complex and their confusion. The feeling of loving someone yet unable to tell them in fear of being hated, the pain-stabbing feeling of knowing that one day that person is gonna leave...oh my gosh it soo godamn incredible!!! I am just so glad they got together in the end.
And everyone who says that Aya is a jerk because he's sleeping with other people despite of being together with yhuu... Read back the manga and understand and try reading between the lines and atmosphere and conclude why he is doing it. U guys r just basically seeing the surface, why dont u try to dive deeper? I promise u u'll discover a lot of things in this manga. It had a hint of reality and real life situation.
Hoooh~~ anyway to sum it all. ITS DAMN AMAZING.
