It's been a while since I read it but, essentially the whole thing stays as a fluffy story with the FC being friendly with all of the beastmen, and it being suuuper cute. The lion dude falls in love with the FC so he's the main goal. I don't remember much past that.

Su JiuQing is our main character. She's the legitimate daughter to the Su family household. She's learning Chinese medicine from her master, Divine Doctor Meng Huichun. And, thanks to JiuQing's persistence, her mother has started to become wary of her so-called "sister-in-law."

General Lin Yue is the male lead, and he is interested in JiuQing's affairs. He also needs help from JiuQing's divine medicine master for the sake of his father.

I don't remember JiuQing's father's name (or if he was ever properly introduced), but he's a total asshole that deserves to be "taken out" in the night. He clearly doesn't care much for his legitimate wife and always finds fault with both her and JiuQing. He cheated on his wife with Qianqian many years prior and plans to make her his legal wife.

(I don't remember if JiuQing's mother was ever introduced with a proper name. Maybe someone can fill it in for me. I've had to reread portions of this manhua to write this all down.)

Yao Qianqian is the mistress of the Su family's head, although JiuQing's mother still believes the evil woman is her sister-in-law. Qianqian is trying to kill off JiuQing's mother and attain her "rightful" place as the head wife to have the most authority a woman can have in the Su family.

Wan'Er is the illegitimate daughter of the Su head; her current surname is Yao. Both she and her mother, Qianqian, are trying to kill off the legitimate wife and drive out JiuQing to fulfill their own greed for wealth and power.


I hope this makes some sense now! There are no spoilers for new/old readers. This is all information that can be found in the posted chapters.
