Probably because that is enticing to Ichi. He’s been abandoned and didn’t have the concept of people really looking out for him or a place to return to that actually stuck. Like he had a house before but it wasn’t a home. Home and family are two concepts he lost and that sense of belonging I think he actually wants. Or at least that’s my interpretation and Desscaras wants to keep him alive so even if she has to abuse something to do it, she sees Ichi as someone she should protect.
