The law is supposed to follow morals, and not the other way around.
The law is chalk full of moral failings infact, so what one country says(mine included) is rubbish to me when that's supposed to justify my sixteen year old classmate dating a 40 year old. That is frankly just nasty. Not to mention what many groomers do- toeing the line.
Even 18 is too young to date a fully formed adult. You're not even in college yet. You're about four life stages apart, there's nothing to relate or respect in a younger partner like that. Not to mention how he literal depends on the others good mood to SURVIVE. It's just full of power imbalances. Not to mention the ml is just painfully childish and naive rn.
So yeah, if they do develop a romance(which let's be honest they totally will) I'm really hoping it's after hes able to stand up on his own two feet.
