This is unironically a good romance story. Like I'm not big into the kink but I ain't put off by it, and Courtney isn't annoying the way some MC's are. Her family being more fleshed out than most stories bother with, and as a result a more interesting cast of characters is great. And the prince is a freak but he's somehow not absolute trash like one expects as well as a fairly healthy and realistic depiction of bdsm and someone being introduced into is great. Especially because we rarely see a Dom get introduced into the world and need to be reassured as well as dominatrix stories being less common. I'd actually recommend this to someone instead of keeping it my guilty pleasure secret.

Why finally give us an amazing nice not asshole-ish male lead only to make their love kinda incesty. Like she could have been a childhood friend reincarnated or something but they had to make her their mom! I would have loved a captain and Miria love story.
I can forgive the age difference between Leo and Lillian only because it's very easy to forget Lillia's age. She has the same mental maturity as her past life and she doesn't look/dress like a child. And they don't seem to have any power imbalance issue's with her properly wielding her saintess authority and while he does work for her he really works under the captain and the temple more than directly being her underling.

I like that the story is showing that both the Mc and ml have valid points and that they both have places in their work where they can improve. I feel like most stories especially isekai ones have the Mc being completely right or completely wrong and only one side learning actually learning a lesson (accept like the cop out of the ml learning to have fun or something like that)
Both the ml and Mc have something important to learn from each other and I think that's why I like their relationship so much even tho basically all they've done is argue ( ̄∇ ̄")
I believe the author is using this story as a critique on the regressed daughter with doting powerful father genre. All the characters actions are the same as what happens in other stories, it's just that the perspective has been shifted to show the reality of dealing with those sorts of people would be like.
A tyrant Emperor willing to kill your whole family because you dared to tell him that gifting his child a whole country just because she was being cute is unreasonable, and a princess who is noble and kind and all, yet can't seem to comprehend that people are their own individual existence that don't exist in the vacuum of her immediate entourage.
That while this type of story presents them as a loving happy cute family, the reality is that the emperor is still a tyrant willing to kill on a whim and the princess is self-centered and thinks of people as objects to collect.
I don't think the princess is supposed to be evil or ill-intentioned. I think she just exists to point out major character flaws that these protagonists all share. Our MC on the other hand is the character foil. She's doing her best to survive but isn't making it about "capturing" people, when she does kind things she worries it will be detrimental to her but does it anyway. She also recognizes that children are going to act childishly and not always be mini adults. She's actually having to survive on her own with her own power and not by just borrowing the power of her emperor father and acting likes its hers, ect ect
