no manhwa yet, it's just a doujinshi. but manifesting an adaptation
I thought that tracy was being logical so far but other readers seem to think she's evil, like sure she she's not outwardly kind but all her actions seemed logical to me. Like with ash, she stated explicitly that ash is unloyal even before church's indoctrination and any future potential actions. Ash is to his very core inherently evil, not actively-killing-people-evil but being a bystander-and-stabbing-other-people's-back-evil.
As for oleg, i do want to see their relationship as siblings develop more but i understand why she's prickly about him since the original oleg did bully her and i know he's just a product of his surrounding which is why tracy has never put oleg in life threathening danger as far as i remember, like sure she doesnt treat him kindly but the one time he's surrounded by threat(cat's eyetown) he still had guards around him. I also like to think his impression of oleg has changed with all the "he's the only one that can do it" and so does oleg's impression of tracy. Im so excited for themm
Lastly for hubbs, she's not treating hubbs like a kid because hubbs isnt acting like a kid nor does he want to be treated like one :) i thought that was obvious from his mentally mature and smart type of character. I kinda dont want hubbs to end up with tracy like ughhhh i know its far-fetched that tracy wouldnt end up with an ml but i want to be delusional
She's the perfect morally grey character for me, she's not good nor evil, she's just a logical person who only thinks her survival to live. She's wrong for putting Ash in a cage but she's not wrong for thinking her future and possibilities to live longer.
I just hate some readers considers her an evil person just because she did this questionable action when it's really just logic and being rational.
So with Ash and Oleg, I don’t think it’s fair to call Ash inherently evil when just like Tracy, he is doing what he can to survive. Her methods are naturally different than his methods as they are in naturally different predicament. I don’t think it’s fair to call him evil while calling her just morally gray when they’re doing the exact same thing in this instance of using someone only to throw them away later.
In Oleg’s case I feel like that’s the bare minimum like I feel like the minute we start going well it’s not like she was actively trying to get him killed is where we start like looking for scraps. Because on paper, you’re right where she didn’t do something that led to his death however like I said, that is the bare minimum. I do want to see their relationship progress to the point where it doesn’t feel like he is simply a victim of Stockholm syndrome.
Oh my lawd thats the word i was looking for! Its been so long since ive found and liked a morally grey character that i forgot they have a name for it lol
Yeah i think the word "inherently evil" was too much even though that was my first impression of him but tracy was right that he has no conviction and he doesnt choose a side and stick to it. I like how theyre basically the same side of coin and its deff interesting how they use the people around them, tho i camt remember tracy ever throwing someone away?? But maybe its just my sitty memory and as for oleg sameee i honestly wish they dont pull a stockholm on us and that they flesh out oleg's character more
Huh? I didn't even mentioned that Ash is evil though? I'm just saying of what Tracy did to Ash is either wrong or not anyway, because again she was being logical to cut off Ash right there and even if she used him, it benefits both of the parties anyway it's a win-win situation. His people got food, water and they're alive in that timeline and Tracy was able to gain points for her succession rights, but what she did was morally wrong to put him in a cage after however he will be taken care of even if he's in a jail, at least he's not getting tortured. Tracy knows if she allowed him to be on her side, she'll get betrayed even if he's loyal to her since he can't pick a side and stays in one.
You even make me check to what I commented when I didn't say anything about Ash being evil when all I said about Tracy being morally grey.
I’m pretty sure they were replying to the og comment instead of ur reply ^^, notifies u regardless tho
I was sorry for the confusion!
I second what that other person said. "Morally Gray" is the perfect word to describe Tracy!
And, I don't really think she's all that wrong for putting Ash in a cage. He really did commit a crime(a pretty bad one at that- arson + murder accomplice) so legally speaking, he should receive some sort of punishment for it, just like all the other traitors. Though with him just being a kid and mainly acting on instincts, I feel like he should get let off easier and they should focus on doing some moral reconstruction so that his troublesome character doesn't devolve into something worse when he matures(I have a feeling something like that might happen...)
Are you my twin or something? You literally said everything I was thinking. Especially on the part where you'd prefer for Tracy to be alone as opposed to with Carl or some other ML.
I REALLY don't like Carl. He's conceited, snobbish, and too calculating. He has limited redeemable qualities, other than the fact that he helped Tracy with the whole Cats town incident(though it was partially caused by the Hobbs family anyways so it doesn't really count as help).
I feel like he would make a better business partner as opposed to a spouse. Though, preferably I'd rather them not be affiliated with each other at all as the Hobbs family in general seems to have no qualms with using underhanded, dirty methods to achieve their goals, even if it meant sacrificing the innocent or betraying a comrade. Though, Carl is showing signs of a positive change(albeit a small one) which is why I still would consider him a possible candidate for a business partner or family friend/tie.
