It sucks that Ryosuke's parents never intervened in his life and or cared why he wasn't going to school, but I'm glad Ryosuke's mom is supportive of him when he said he wants to go to a better school, and was excited when Ryosuke learned how to cook. I'm happy that Ryosuke is able to get that encouragement and support when he was finally ready for that change.
The supporting characters in Yamamoto-sensei's other works are mostly gay too so I won't be surprised if Kyouchi is as well (▰˘◡˘▰)
