THIS. this is what gets me everytime. it's so rare for reincarnation stories to do it right. most of them just use the current person's life as an extension of their past love. that's just sad. all of the current person's life, own memories, and emotions should always ALWAYS be separate. these kinds of conflicts being resolved by "and then he remembered his past" is so overdone and ridiculous it's belittling the current person's own experiences and feelings as just an extension of his past when it's not supposed to be that way !!!
