I think the best ending would be that Wis, after letting out all pent up frustrations, finally finds peace for herself and disappear from the world, then Lloyd finds out what really happened with his parents, and he goes and let all hell loose unti those that did that to Wis. Then Saltis won't choose any other hero, because his bond with Wis struck to him that even though he thinks Lloyd is worthy, he could not let himself betray his companion, either from pity or compassion.
I mean that's what I would do. Bittersweet, but I think as long as Wis gets her peace, I don't care what happens to the rest of the characters, let mygurl have her win
