I read up to chapter 20 and then read chapter 41... and it doesn’t seem like there was very much plot progress if any. I really feel like the idea is wonderful, but it is dragging more for my liking. It is just my personal opinion. Although, the jewel idea was interesting, but I am confused why it is inside their bodies; is it their heart, or something that reflects their personality? A lot of the story also explains things to me instead of showing as well. We are told that she is being trained by the mistress as the caretaker and then before she debuts, but we don’t see any of that. Maybe I’ll come back again later when I want a more slow paced story.
