People literally have no care for others and it shows. Like yes the style has changed, but what about the authors health? What if she keels over from over working, what are y'all gonna say then? I haven't read this in years but that doesn't mean I'm gonna bash the story and author.

The author is lazy. This story was released in 2002, yet the plot has barely progressed, including the main leads’ love story. It’s not like the plot is extraordinary or anything, lol.
Take Daytime Star or To Be an Actor as examples both had decent plots (even better story than this to be honest) but they were completed/fast updates without needing 23 years just to make progress.
I really find most older mangakas lazy af with their average stories. In contrast, newer mangakas usually complete their work much faster without dragging it out for years.

Do you even know how long it takes to draw a manga traditionally??
Drawing a webtoon is a lot easier, it's digital, when you make a mistake you don't have to redo everything, they don't really care about shadows, sometimes the background decor and characters are not even drawn, it's just pictures they find on the drawing app (that's why every historical webtoon as that one red haired girl whispering in the back).
I'm sure you can find videos explaining the whole process of making a manga because it takes A LOT of times and effort and I don't know any mangaka who's known for working in good conditions, they are all overwork and have multiple health issues.
Calling lazy people who work until they physically can't anymore is crazy, especially when they're old and sick, at least be grateful she's not in indefinite hiatus for 16 years like Ai Yazawa.

Don’t compare this lazy author to Oda!
If you insist on making a comparison, consider this: Oda was able to produce a lot of chapters during his early years, even when One Piece wasn’t very popular and he didn’t have much assistance.
This lazy author, now 55, started this series in his 30s—did you think he was 55 twenty years ago and stuck being 55? LOL
Comparing Oda’s early years with One Piece to Yoshiki’s early years of SB, Oda’s output was significantly greater.

Still doesn't change that mangaka health conditions are shit; like come sickness, loss of vision, and surgeries. Their humans so stop treating them like their just tools for entertainment, especially after seeing authors work themselves to death or put the whole story on indefinite hiatus. One of my favorite manga will remain uncompleted because the mangaka is dead. Others took a break cause they fell sick or had to undergo surgeries because they delayed it.
Man this story is hurting me! War sucks and it just destroys lives. And the weirdo trying to talk to Annette just makes my skin crawl with disgust
