What I meant is that some deaths didn't contribute to the plot. Nnmn for instance. It this case it makes completely sense as Maki needs to be stronger in the story.

I really like this story because you get some kdrama typical moments but they resolve them like normal people and cut the drama quickly and logically. Like today's chapter, you have the threatened mc but he goes and hit the other guy on the head instead of accepting the situation!
