The ML didn't search for his wife for 6 whole months so even if he lied for having his shot, i still feel thankful for not letting her know. She would have returned to that piece of shit in the blink of an eye. She needs to gain some self esteem first, gets her life togheter and actually live by herself and not with this other guy.
I don't understand Tj stans saying Jo is dumb for wanting to throw away his "comfortable life" for someone who he has know for some months, but still see as romantic 15 yo Tj leaving his adoptive family after getting noticed by Ian at the park lol
Younger Tj was hopelessy in love as much as is Jo right now
Then again, realistically, TJ was a teenager figuring out himself and full of raging hormones making the decisions he did. On the other hand Jo is a grown man, past 25, meaning with a fully developed frontal lobe making his current decisions.
Tbh Im not romanticizing neither of those situations. I have a issue with people hating jo's behavior and at the same time praising Tj leaving his family as a vulnerable and traumatized teenager
Real shit gang, I don't stan any of them either, including Ian. The story clearly depicts all characters as very morally grey people who are in no position to be idolised and if fw your neutrality concerning the characters, it's refreshing in this random fr
one's understandable, the other isn't. not that complicated.
Unfortunately too many people are obsessed with picking side and tearing apart the MLs to fit their narrative.
I really like this story bcs all characters are real and I genuinely love how the author is handling very different issues like the homophobia, child abuse, hypersexuality as a response to sa & r*pe, drug addiction and the gang stuff too
So yea neutrality for the win!
Romanticizing a traumatized teenager leaving his only support system to join a gang bcs he has fallen in love with another kid isnt really something I'd do tbh. I dont know about you.
Beside, Jo would have been involved into this mess even if ian wasn't here. Remember, in early chaps those gangsters were threatening chris saying that he could prostitute his sister, mom and gf to pay his debts. Then they got wind of Ian connection to Jo and changed strategy.
Yes, Jo is doing all this mainly for Ian, but his family was already in danger bcs of dipshit Chris and he would have got involved in this mess regardless
i'm not trying to rationalise it, it just makes sense that an unstable, overly dependent teenager with abandonment issues would 100% jump headfirst into that life in order to keep his friend. a grown adult doing the same is rather...
Unfortunately many people value love too much and do crazy stuff for it without thinking too deeply
