Melon bread is apparently super popular in Korea, so maybe that’s why it’s showing up as melon brioche here. Apparently, melon is one of the best fruits for summer in Korea. Maybe it tastes really sweet and refreshing there?

If you're talking about melons from the US, I will agree that most are flavorless. That may not be the case for varieties grown in Korea.

I think the King and Queen wish for her to a wet nurse/nanny for their future child(ren). You kinda need to have just given birth to fulfill that position and it would look poorly for all parties if she got pregnant out of wedlock. The King and head guard were milk brothers (ie nursed by the same person). Mary and ML seems somewhat close in age so probably appointed during childhood, same as ML with the Queen who was 9(?). Obviously at that age you don’t need a wet nurse.
Seeing how much of a fool he seems to be even in his younger years it seems he really needed Navier. If they were not engaged out of obligation I really doubt they would have actually gotten married with how he is...
