Yes, there is a correct way of speaking English. It's a language and like any other language it has rules and grammatical systems in place. AAVE is not a language. I repeat, it doesn't fulfill the requirements of a language and therefore isn't recognised as one.

English is "derived" from Germanic language family. The same family from which Dutch and German developed. Greek doesn't even come close. It comes from a separate Indo-European branch and is closest to Latin and Armenian.

Yes, English does have a lot of Greek words but according to Oxford companion to the English language it's influence on the English language has largely been indirect. Mostly through Latin and French. But, it doesn't mean that Greek is the root of English. They both originated from completely different language families.
