U know, when the first time i read this manga i don't understand anything about the plot and just read it for the sÊx part. Well its because im still a stupid and naive teenage gurl. Its been like 3 years and i just want to re-read the manga again to see how mature my minds and I-

There a ton of females in real life that is brave, strong and smart. Yes i do agree that maxi is a bit more relatable/realistic than most female leads in other stories. But also the whole “need a man to protect her” thing that doesn’t make her realistic just because she needs a man to protect. There a lot of females like her that doesn’t needs a man to protect her. But what maxi wants/need isn’t a man to protect her. She wants love and kindness.

I feel like the whole “need someone to protect someone” is a thing that both sexes equally need. We all see a man protecting a woman, but also the other way round would be perfectly normal. Somehow we think that being protected is a weakness or making us less independent. But I think that having a solid support system behind you is something everyone should have...just saying, is perfectly normal to yearn protection. Though you said well, what Maxi need is emotional support and someone she could vent out all her deepest insecurities and fears.
Of course everyone wants protection but that’s not what Maxi needs. Thankfully she have and probably wants it but she doesn’t need it. She need someone who will love and care about her emotionally. Who she can talk to and lean on that won’t get mad and beat her, ignore her or mentally abuse her. Of course everyone wants someone to protect them but what people need is someone that would emotionally help them.
