Honestly, they’re stripping so much from the manga that it just feels stiff. The art is beautiful but there’s not much emotions :/
Some of these comments are so close minded. Not everyone can be self assured and confident. Some people’s minds literally attack them and they cannot help overthinking. It’s okay to have your opinion obviously… yes his overthinking can get frustrating but not to the point of hating the character himself. He has literally acknowledged it himself and said that he hates his overthinking and self pity but that’s just how his childhood has shaped him. People like him deserve the type of boyfriend he has, someone patient, loving and understanding. Tae-Seok clearly loves him the way he is so let’s stop acting like he is the worst character ever written.
I KNOW RIGHT! This is a realistic depiction of an overthinker. People claim to love complex characters but cant handle him! Ughh
Not excusing any of Jaegeng’s actions towards Dan at all (not one), but I could read his character right from the beginning… even before the flash backs.
Not because he’s predictable but more because.. one thing I’ve learned in life is you can be 40, 50, 60 or whatever, but you may not necessarily act your age if you didn’t hit proper milestones as a child. This guy has known nothing but violence and surviving his whole life. The more he grew to like Dan (which he had no clue about) the more annoyed and irritable he got. His feelings of liking Dan only translated as an uncomfortable feeling that he thought he could fuck out of his system.
I try not to let mangas get me mad because they’re the main characters and will obviously get together in the end so why give yourselves high blood pressure over the inevitable lol.
I have no problem with them being together but I at least hope he grovels and Dan says no like a hundred times first, then they can live happily ever after.
I do look forward to seeing them all lovey dovey eventually though haha! Imagine Jaekyung being all sweet and in love

I have been asked for spoilers multiple times, so I thought I might share with anyone else that doesn’t mind being spoiled. You have been warned!
So Chase actually ends up becoming more obsessed and sweet with Josh. The reason Chase seems like an asshole, is pure TRAUMA!
He has literally never had anything good happen to him (apart from wealth if you wanna count that as happiness).
When Chase was young, he was actually so sweet and loved animals. He would cry often because he was so empathetic towards everything and when his bird died, his family basically told him he was overreacting by crying…
His brother ‘Grayson’, has tormented Chase since he was a kid with his older siblings joining in from time to time. They might have stopped now that Chase is an adult but Grayson never stopped. Whenever Chase experienced rut he would rather pass out from the pain of not releasing than look for a random omega to sleep with because he actually believed you’re supposed to do that with someone you love. Grayson didn’t approve of this, so when Chase passed out from not releasing during one rut, Grayson basically set up a scene and made it seem like Chase slept with their family dog (which is why he’s terrified of dogs now). Chase also is an absolute virgin (-ish) but even he doesn’t know this, because Grayson told him that every time he’s passed out he has slept with multiple omegas (talk about mental torment). Josh is the only person he has ever slept with, years ago, that one time, which is why they share a kid which he doesn’t find out about till way later.
Chase also doesn’t believe he is above omegas, he absolutely HATES himself for being an alpha, and because he has been made to believe all his life that he loses so much control during his rut to the point of sleeping with a dog, he doesn’t even want to be alive. He secretly hopes that he would be lucky enough to sleep one day and never wake up.
There’s more but I would strongly recommend you read the novel (this is coming from someone who never reads novels being turned into a manga, but I enjoyed every second). What I’ve written doesn’t even explain half of why Chase is the way he is currently, but all that trauma, being used all his life, people never seeing past his beauty like he’s an object, and even never receiving love from his family. The public thinks he’s this playboy and monster always caught in drama but it’s far from that. This boy Chase is struggling to even want to be alive. Now he’s just guarded, he believes everybody wants something from him or wants to hurt or use him, which is very true, he is not delusional about this. But of course this means everybody gets the same treatment from him because he’s only known suffering. If his own family didn’t love him and even tormented him psychologically, then why would strangers love him?

If they didn't revised the translation in the last months, the one on blsnacks is one of the worst translation you could read at the moment.
Now I understand why the part with Grayson sounds so strange in that spoiler, because he never set up as scene with the dog, he brought his dog Alex because he paniced.

There were still very few clear translations when I read it, so even I had to read the novel in three different places. I just provided a link with no annoying pop ups.
The part where I mentioned Grayson ‘setting up’ a scene to look like Chase slept with the dog still stands. You stating that Grayson panicked doesn’t really change that. Chase was passed out, then he woke up sweating with the dog in front of him, which Grayson put there. Then made Chase believe he had slept with the dog, and for years Grayson brought this up as a way to control Chase, as shown in earlier chapters when he wanted Chase to follow him to that orgy.
My spoiler is a quick summary and highlight for the people wondering why Chase is such an ass right now.
I know Grayson has his own story where his personality is explained better, and I know he has trouble understanding emotions as he just mimics them. In this story though he is absolutely the villain.
They can complain about pop ups if they use an official translation, if not they have to live with it or use an addblocker.
The problem with blsnacks is, if they didn't revised in lately, that it is missing parts, even half of one chaper. And it's often difficult to understand, so you probably misunderstand things.
I'm not going into spoilers of the other novel, I read them, but this is only about KMIYC.
There are already enough things mentioned in KMIYC, that makes clear that Grayson has some serious issues, that he was a psychopath manifested too early (not understaning/recognizing emotions etc-), which leads him to help Chase in that way. That it caused Chase some serious trauma, there is no question about it.
The main problem I had was that it sound intentional in what you wrote, which clearly isn't case. As insane some actions of Grayson sound, he is not intentionally cruel to Chase, he just doesn't understand Chase at all.
Sure, that doesn't help Chase's situation, but it also doesn't help to misunderstanding a character.
And the thing with the dog, Grayson did't set up a scene, that is what was really irritating me. That was Chase's first rut, there was nothing planned, there was no omega around or anyone else to release pheromones with, that was the reason why Grayson paniced and brought his dog Alex. Nothing happened there. Chase didn't remember anything, the only thing he remember was a dog being present. That why he belived what Grayson said, probably at the begining as as joke or just some stupid remark. Later he used it, to get Chase go to the parties, but that wasn't planned.
The problem with pheromones acccumulation in the body of an dominnt alpha is that it can cause braindamage, they can go completly crazy -irreversably. That's why Chase not releasing pheormones is a problem. If if he wants to avoid being dragged to those parties he could go to the hopstial, Steward can take care of that, but it seems that Chase doesn't even do that.
Steward remarked that Chase would have been better off as a beta, and I think that's true.
