Wow Jaekyung is literally having the same effect on Dan as his own father had on him when he was a kid, worst part is he doesn’t even realise it.
Wow this manga must be so confusing for anyone that hasn’t read the novel. There’s almost no build up between them in the manga and they keep skipping important parts… kind of disappointed cos I was looking forward to the manga, and although the art is pretty, it’s just not portraying emotions very well.
The novel really lets you in on Josh and Chase’s inner monologue so that you know the thought behind every action. You could really feel why Chase was so bothered and grumpy around Josh, he was so hot for Josh and didn’t even know it. Also explains why Chase is so ‘gullible’ to the C-section scar and Josh getting wet lol but the manga just has Chase looking stupid instead.

Yeah, I haven't read the novel and I was confused by all the positive comments. The plot and pacing feels all over the place, I have no idea the of the personality of either character because it keeps switching up haha.
You're right in that I've noticed there's almost a complete lack of internal monologue outside of a few stray comments said in retort to actual dialogue.

Try giving the novel a go tho, it’s so worth it and when you come back to the manga you’ll see how much was really missing
Yeah south a waste… & not to be messy but I know some artists who would have completely brought this manga to life, but it feels like they just chose pretty art over someone that could actually make you feel the story.
Haha, aww I actually just tried to give it a go and read the first 5 chapters. Unfortunately I found it to be really poorly written ): Unsure if that's due to a poor translation?
But yeah some real basic issues - its written in third person present tense (which is odd in itself), but trickles into past. A lot of the sentences are written back to front and there's almost no description or context provided prior to someone speaking. I hate to be a snob, since I know you enjoyed it! Thanks for suggesting it anyway. Would be awesome if I could read it it's original language (which I presume is Korean?).
Vice versa! Loads of people who read the novel are saying they're bummed out and even making fun of the translation. Like, the dialogue is fine, it's the same as the book, but they seriously chopped out so many iconic scenes. It just doesn't flow right.
The getting wet and c-section answers also come after the two of them have sex for the first time in the novel as well. So it's not that manhwa Chase looks stupid, but the explanation hasn't been given yet. Even in the novel, we only get the explanation /after/ Chase finds out about Josh being an omega, and Josh asks why Chase never questioned a beta male getting wet.

Honestly, they’re stripping so much from the manga that it just feels stiff. The art is beautiful but there’s not much emotions :/
Some of these comments are so close minded. Not everyone can be self assured and confident. Some people’s minds literally attack them and they cannot help overthinking. It’s okay to have your opinion obviously… yes his overthinking can get frustrating but not to the point of hating the character himself. He has literally acknowledged it himself and said that he hates his overthinking and self pity but that’s just how his childhood has shaped him. People like him deserve the type of boyfriend he has, someone patient, loving and understanding. Tae-Seok clearly loves him the way he is so let’s stop acting like he is the worst character ever written.
I KNOW RIGHT! This is a realistic depiction of an overthinker. People claim to love complex characters but cant handle him! Ughh
Not excusing any of Jaegeng’s actions towards Dan at all (not one), but I could read his character right from the beginning… even before the flash backs.
Not because he’s predictable but more because.. one thing I’ve learned in life is you can be 40, 50, 60 or whatever, but you may not necessarily act your age if you didn’t hit proper milestones as a child. This guy has known nothing but violence and surviving his whole life. The more he grew to like Dan (which he had no clue about) the more annoyed and irritable he got. His feelings of liking Dan only translated as an uncomfortable feeling that he thought he could fuck out of his system.
I try not to let mangas get me mad because they’re the main characters and will obviously get together in the end so why give yourselves high blood pressure over the inevitable lol.
I have no problem with them being together but I at least hope he grovels and Dan says no like a hundred times first, then they can live happily ever after.
I do look forward to seeing them all lovey dovey eventually though haha! Imagine Jaekyung being all sweet and in love
