I THINK when it said "how are you going, Gi gi" It might have meant the word gege. If this is being translated from Chinese to English then gege might be the word it meant. Gege is basically a way to address a guy. Idk how it's specifically used tho. But the line "how are you doing, gi gi" might also translate to something like "how are you doing, hyung"
I've been thinking about it and now I'll explain Why its sorta f*Ed up about the ML buying FL that y'all don't seem to understand.
Ok so the manhwa itself sets itself up in a very realistic setting where women are treated like property. If you know history then would know that in the past women were treated like property and divorce wasn't really a thing. At first i found this manhwa every interesting because it sets itself up in a very realistic way. It was all really ruined when the ML bought FL. Why? Well again, the Manhwa is setting itself in a realistic light but then turns unrealistic really fast. I feel like it would have been better if he bought her as a servant instead, because then he would've come across like he bought her out of pity and kindness (seems more realistic to me) but instead because he bought her as a "wife" makes it seen weird. Romanticizing the thought of being bought and being property. THIS IS THE REAL REASON TOO it would have been BETTER if he at least insulted the people trying to buy her, killed the ex-husband, or at least informed the authority. He didn't do any of that and it really makes him seem like he's a contribution to the problem not solving it! I see everyone being like "well at least he's kind and not living in hell, like she was with her ex-husband" BUT REMEMBER SHE WAS BOUGHT NOT RESCUED!! BEING RESCUED DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT. Being treated like property is NOT a good feeling. Like i know this is fiction, that's why I'll still keep reading but I just find it a bit weird. A rich, attractive, nice(?) guy found her just in time and bought her before she was sold off to these ugly perverted men. Like if that was the case from the start, why try to set the plot up in a realistic light?
I am not saying it's a horrible manhwa or telling anyone to not read it but I found it a bit irritating that some people don't see why ML buying FL, comes across as inconsiderate. Yes she is mostly likely gonna do better with ML but ML bought her not rescued her.
