no they clarified it in the first episode of this season! seoin is not biologically related to them in any way, shape, or form. after the adoptive mom’s child died, which is one of the twins, her grief made her seek a child to fill the void via adopting someone. she wanted someone to replace her dead son, who looked exactly like the other twin, and by some miracle seoin was identical to them. the evil brother indeed did it out of spite and pure hatred because he’s an insane pos who has the biggest inferiority complex. the evil twin used the background check to show ml’s biological parents were terrible and humble/control him
there’s no conspiracy surrounding the adoptive parents and bio parents. they are just the adoptive parents who’s grief and control went too far
