I think that cain was looking for a doctor to heal him before he went to kill the boss guy in the underworld or whatever it’s called. And one of the boss guys workers was sent to go and kill the doctor before cain was able to find him. I think that the doctor is actually the guy that is questioning cain and that white haired guy bc he said something like “when he came to kill me...”.
And he also had clones of himself as seen in previous chapters so that’s what was probably killed. I’m not sure any the compass bit I think it just leads you to the person ur trying to find or a strong amount of demonic(?) energy like from cain.

I feel like she’s the type of character who is only serious when she needs to be, and I feel like if her personality wasn’t like this then this story wldn’t be as enjoyable (:
