when aisha first came to the manor, she left the handkerchief she's embroidering for the kid at the duke's office. the duke thought it was a gift for him since him and his kid looks alike and the embroidery is kinda bad. now that the kid has the same handkerchief and he mentioned that aisha lost the original one, the Duke realized and flashbacks were shown where the things sent to the manor are actually meant for his kid, not him. he just assumed that aisha liked him and aisha just agreed with it so it doesn't cause more problems. now he realized everything so i think he's now going to confront aisha about it.
She accidentally left it behind when they talked one time and he assumed it was for him, he was really touched, and thought it meant something special. However it wasn't meant for him; she was actually in the middle of making it for his son and it was unfinished. Now he just found out that his son has one too and doesn't know that the first one wasn't for him. Soooo he is now a bit upset that she made one for both because it means the handkerchief wasn't anything special.
The fl embroidered a handkerchief with the son's face thinking of giving it to the son but she lost it at the office of the duke and the duke found that handkerchief assuming it was his face embroidered on the handkerchief so the fl needed to make another one so she could give it to the son so basically the duke was assuming all this time that everything was for him but it was for the son instead
