I could kinda hey behind the whole "ML kinda suspicious" thing as Ryuh Han's arguement because I would totally warn my own friend if I thought they might get terribly hurt as a result but once he pulled the whole "Are you saying he's more important thing?".....
Like, Bro, that's really never the point.
That is THE LAST thing you should be concerned about. Geez.

honestly, it sounds like bad writing - this manhwa had a really good beginning but it's been very off lately. because at the end of the day the ML IS a gangster that does illegal/dangerous gangster shit. MC should have at least ONE good friend that is NOT his romantic interest so that he's not isolated.

100% agreed. Sang Hwa doesn't have anyone to support him and give him advice or at least other perspectives on any of these matters so he's left up to his own biased decisions fueled by being fed up. Clearly in manhwa context, gangster ML does care for him and whatever but these kinds of things make me feel like the MC is limited and has no actual choice.
And the way they write his perspective makes me wonder if he genuinely likes the new guy like this or just wants to be liked.
Of course, maybe that's the point to express how the MC finds value in himself through an unlikely person after being constantly overlooked.

I get the inkling that the Ryuh Han guy is manipulating the MC on purpose while aware of his feelings because he doesn't like him romantically (or does and doesn't want to commit because "ew, gay") but still enjoys being the golden boy of society whom everyone idolizes and fusses over and so keeps shit vague.
Either way, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but he gives me a scummy feeling so far and I don't like him.

If we're talking suitors, so far Kenneth is my favourite. Not much information to go on but kudos to him for sincerely inquiring after Clarence's reasons for leaving and not just how to track her down and bring her back.
On the other hand, the prince is probably my least favourite seeing as he one-sidedly decided she was a crown princess candidate and was willing to order people to escort her back (seemingly in luxury and with no force) without asking her how she feels about any of that. I assume there's still room for development, though.
Enjoying this so far and anticipating more!

I find it a little odd that from the looks of that engagement monologue he had in his head, the duke was aware of the rumours involving him and Serenia but didn't think his fiance had heard or believed them enough for him to clarify. Unless of course, I missed that scene.
Enjoying this a lot so far anyway!
Thanks, mom.
