for anyone wanting to read this, here are my personal comments:

this is a great webtoon in terms of romance. it’s cute. the characters are unknowingly in love with one another and they take time realising it and it’s slowburn and it’s cute.
HOWEVER, the plot is just so haphazard & annoying. it’s so random that in the last 20 chapters a majority of the plot takes place. the queen dowager was a mysterious character. she would be super rude and mean in front of everyone to them and in another scene she’d be all polite. isn’t the point of being polite to conceal your true intentions? she’s already been above board so i don’t understand her being polite at all? especially when it’s obvious to both parties that she hates them and is plotting against them.
i also don’t understand the whole Ella transmigrated twice thing. did she have him in a spell last time? did he really love her without any spell or magic? if so, how could her entire personality change in this timeline? nothing is really cleared ever.
furthermore why’d they introduce so many subplots? it hurt my brain. in the last 20 chapters, a whole second male lead was introduced and 3 subplots were introduced - ella being a saintess, some weird god-arc and a third male lead!
AND AFTER ALL OF THAT, the empress dowager is killed OFF SCREEN… we just get one line mentioning that she died? it’s so WEIRD

bottom line: the story is bad. like not good writing at all. but the romance is really cute & the two main leads are really in love.

the story is so lovely. i always come back to it. but the age gap is so unnecessary. it doesn’t even add anything to the plot. she could’ve been 18 and he could’ve been 20 and it would’ve been okay. i don’t know why age gaps that are this big don’t scare people more.

this webtoon is, in my opinion, much better than the novel. they’ve changed the slowly slightly. in the novel, edith fights with EVERY girl for so long. even the princess, who is very nice in the webtoon, is so shallow and lame in the novel. she gossips about edith and basically takes lize’s side without thinking. and her apology is like a line long.
but, the webtoon really shows edith as a good person and all women actually aren’t against her. and i love that.

low-key the amount of family drama gets me stressed out. it’s like… almost too much. there’s not a shred of humanity in those sub-humans… this webtoon should definitely be under the ‘psychological’ tag. so creepy! so eerie!! the only three normal characters in this ENTIRE webtoon are the prince, MC and Sancha.
