The real Princess is dead and won’t be coming back. If the fake one plays her cards right she can become Empress. However, if she sticks with the commander she will never be one because frankly he hates her guts and he is starting to realize that Lucien and the Princess ads the same. Others like Felix’s crew could easily use the fake Princess to make their sons Emperors since no one can prove (with irrefutable evidence) that the fake Princess isn’t real. So no she is not dumb. If you were the fake Princess you would probably also do the same. The only problem is that even though the fake Princess can become Empress she would still be a puppet since she isn’t the real one. Although, for the girl in the story, being a puppet Empress is better than living in the slums.
