Because he is a bunny who was bewitched into a carnivore, and he was hungry?? Why else would he eat it?
He raised it since he is a bunny and herbivores tend to stick together but he was experimented on and now needs fresh blood to survive and can’t help it. That being said, actual bunnies do eat meat and blood if they need to protein and bunnies do eat their own children if stressed out by them. They are NOT innocent harmless little creatures.
