The genre changed to horror and when you just started thinking it’s gonna get better it suddenly took a twist for worse
I feel so bad for the mc because of her family :(( shitty family is not an uncommon trope in this kind of stories, but they’re either quickly forgotten or cartoonishly evil. Here it’s just so heartbreaking how they were manipulating her, lying, and pretending to love her. This is truly heartbreaking

I can’t believe that every men in this story (except Anakin, the ml) firmly believes that just because they love someone, they must be together. They don’t care that their object of attraction doesn’t love them back, they’re still sure that they’ll end up together and happy. Emperor, father, crown price, priest… every single one of them doesn’t care what their “lover” thinks or feels. They just simply want to possess them
