I couldn't get past the chapter where the MC's mum died because he was too late.
He refused to go back home to see his sick mother who was at the verge of death all because of his attachment to his master. Even after his family people came too look for him, he decided to stop by at the village in the midnight forest for God knows what.
The master even permitted him to leave before and he refused to go home. The only reason why he left was because his master had gone somewhere else but by then it was already too late. His mum waited for him and still died before he could make it because he was too busy enjoying his master's embraces.
Gosh! I couldn't get past that cos it pisses me off so much. I can already tell a stupid MC when I see one. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to drop the story.
I mean, I get your point & that did bother me for a while. But you gotta try to think more about it from his POV because he spent more time with ML than he did with his family growing up so naturally he’d grow more attached to him. He didn’t have the best home life but when he started to live with ML that all changed drastically because he ended up loving to live with him (& him himself) as the years went by. I get how that could leave him feeling conflicted about whether or not he should go see his mother, & he also honestly didn’t know how bad her current condition was at the beginning until it was obvi too late.
Honestly, it just keeps going from bad to worse. Like, Lucina can't even catch a break and you would think that after the shape shifters infiltrated the palace to kidnap her the first time, they would beef up security to make sure it never happens again, but nope. And if Hakan doesn't recognize the fact that the thing in front of him is a shape shifter and not Lucina, then I know the author is just confused. The things the fake Lucina said are things the real Lucina would NEVER say to Hakan.
I'm also surprised that after devouring their baby and causing Lucina to be barren, Hakan didn't turn the entire world upside down to find and kill the shape shifter responsible for it. Some dragon King he is. I was also hoping that the baby would still somehow be alive but I am quickly losing hope because it seems the author doesn't plan on letting that happen.
Lastly, why is Garrett still alive?!
RIGHT?!? Like go and bring back something of your baby so that you may rest them in peace! Like no rampage?! Why?!? Because an arrow hit you? MAN UP! security so terrible after all that shit went down but I kind understand. They lost a lot of men because of the invasion but still though....sigh it's so hard to just keep reading...

So the brother tried to sabotage him but he didn't expect his father to make things worse. Why can't they just leave him alone?
Ikr, more like why is the father bothering him.
