I don't love this story, tbh not even sure if I like it but that intro told me one thing about this story and that is it's going to be a little more realistic about how they treat women, at least for the time period. This isn't a feel good shoujo manhwa from what I'm seeing
i will give it one thing though, the way they're telling the story does a good job of showing character flaws. Like the male lead is super imperfect, he's overly distrustful, immature, and inept at communicating any of his thoughts. And tbh I usually hate when a character does something dumb to show innocence but in this situation, for once, I feel like her picking insignificant flowers really cements how much she disregards her own life
Ok nevermind I do like a few things about this one, I think the artists did well showing characters and their flaws/characteristics. I think the female lead's personality is a little confusing but I haven't seen enough to figure out where the incongruity comes from

You know I appreciate that the ml despite being older jibes really well with aoi because he's a little emotionally stunted. I also appreciate that there's a little... class commentary here when we see the class difference between ml and mc. And chef's kiss, the way the male lead mentions how aoi deserves respect because the ex was born lucky enough to get all the stuff he has
My god that is messed up...
You know I didn't think fun harem series would be so depressing, poor ishino
