I can't wait for this blinding moment of stupidity to end already!!! (╬￣皿￣)凸 seriously!! I really do want her to get free, I like her! I just HATE that they chose, THEY CHOSE THIS, to have her have this whole "I'll just blindly and without question follow this lady and kick up a huge fuss if anyone tries to protect me at all!" moment! Its SUCH a screw to her as a character and just forces the readers to be handcuffed to this little lemming moment until its finally O-VER (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

is it though? this women gave her food and got fucking fired from her job cuase of one little girl!!! is it really that bad of reaction to want to make this women a little less like a fucking criminial that is going to murder her out of no where cause she was kick out from this "name" family.
and she is a child, is it that hard of a moment for you? then you really don't know how children are. just saying.
ahhhh- I get where that would be the case except 2 things: 1. she's shown herself to be a VERY clever girl and someone who is pretty cautious, to the point that she - TO THIS DAY - still relies on the contract as her reasoning for being allowed into the family. I get that that is an excuse that she's using to psychologically allow herself to get closer to these people and accept their love but that kind of makes my point even MORE so. 2. despite ALL this cautiousness she just jumps FULL hog onto trusting this lady w/o a single question to the point that she is shouting at her guards whom she has, in the past, never been upset w/and, in a more true to her character moment, would normally prob just apologize to the former maid for their actions rather than pick a fight w/the people she usually clings to to protect her. bottom line, there's just enough OOC here that it frustrates me as a fan since I really genuinely like how clever she is and how clever the writing has been up to now to showcase how she is working to overcome her psychological damages and her actual circumstances.

you can say she is ooc when she protects herself against that bitch friend of her sister too, the way she talks to her isn't like her weak "self" at all. but again, she changes A LOT! and she finally can allowed herself to act like the child she is, to be a little more spoiled like and do more of what she wants. again she is still a child, no matter how smart you claim she is, deep down she is still a child and still need to grow and learn about many things in life, unlike her shelter close life that she was forced to be stuck at home all day long.
so I don't see how she is ooc, it all comes from what she learns and sew until now into practice. and you know what, I like this change even if you claim it's dumb. it's better for her to act her age, finally! to be a little more spoiled! to let her feelings go out! it's good even if this woman was evil, the change wasn't bad.
and there is many different kinds of intelligence, you know.
oh and I absolutely would've if the writer hadn't at least justified that with reference to her family encouraging her to stand up for herself against people trying to treat her badly. I even wanted to excuse this recent turn w/that as well but they were encouraging her to stand up against those trying to hurt her, not those trying to protect her. I just feel like if they were going to do this they needed to at least write an excusable reason for her blind faith, despite her usual over cautiousness, or a reason for her to be mad abt the guards and protection when she knows she needs it and has actively sought it out prior to this. certainly every reader has their "suspending disbelief" limits but this has just reached mine and I can't wait for this part to finish.....that and I hope they don't keep doing it just for plot's sake. nothing makes me sadder than a story that started out awesome and then starts to fall flat, so fingers crossed!
they actually show many of her new family members telling her to be more spoiled, to ask more, to show more of what she felt. her mother was the first one that told her that actually XD
yup but it was typically in reference to her voicing her wants and worries to her family, not out of left field snapping at people that she, in 1 chapter before, seemed to agree and accept were needed. shrug.
is it though? showing what you want and feel is not only for one situation, it's for many situations to come. even if we don't like it, I still think it's good.

I started reading this story because I was interested in the drama of the courts and how one person could make such a huge difference if they try and all that kind of jazz.....not for secret magic death plots and cults

I don't think I can believe that violet is the king. I can believe that he's the kings brother or twin like she thought but the way he explains things to her so much abt how she can never actually become the queen? it doesn't sound like a challenge, more that this is going to be an adventure scenario that the two will take together and come out together on. ...also I don't think I can fault the mom. corporal punishment is seen as completely common in most eastern countries still to DATE. hell even most US -uh...states, still widely use it, even in schools! coming from their perspective I don't see me getting a pitchfork and torch over this scene.
