I don't like people like them, when they see some Rape scene they Are getting overdramatic but still reads the Story...it's so annoying and they tried explaning it to you on How "RAPE" was bad and makes a lot of people depress i was like fuck off i don't care.. as long the uke likes it in the end i'm okay with that..

it's not because it didn't turn out how i expected. i will explain to you why i critiqued it in this way. The character development was poor. Also, the uke's initial relationship with the seme was really weird because he seemed pretty calm about it even though he did not want to be involved with the seme. The characterization of the side characters was poor at best. Overall, it was extremely bland, it really gave me nothing. I don't really understand why I had to explain all this to you. We're ALLOWED to critique a piece of media.

I continued reading because I wanted to see if it would improve honey lmfao. Any reader is allowed to critique and have an opinion on a work, especially if it keeps perpetuating a really harmful plot device (ie romanticization of rape). I could write a whole essay on the BL manga culture of romanticizing rape and how it affects society. But no, we're just "complaining" lmao please go back to school

It is extremely common for rape victims to develop PTSD, and it's not a fucking joke; it takes serious medication and therapy for them to just get their lives decently back together, let alone create new romantic/sexual relationships with men. This is EXACTLY why this inaccurate portrayal of rape is so harmful; it leads to people like you spouting utter bullshit because you don't understand 1) the sheer trauma rape can cause and 2) how depictions like in this manga can affect SURVIVORS of rape and how they are treated in society.

No no, I’m all for strong people who use their trauma to become stronger, but I really didn’t like how u mentioned something like how it’s useless being a crybaby and u should just become stronger. Not everyone has the capability to become stronger especially if it was super traumatizing and we should allow people to remain weak. I especially hate stories where they don’t show the process of the victim healing and starting to slowly forgive the person but still remain a distant BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY WERE RAPED! Instead all they do is “hey I know u got raped and shit but whatever now date ur rapist after them saying sorry once and made excuses on why they did it.” It’s truly just weird. I wish they left the rape as a trauma rather than a building block for a stupid relationship. They could’ve shown the process of the victim healing, accepting others, finally dating someone else who helps them heal even more and give them comfort, and when they finally get over their trauma and live a happy life. That would be the perfect story.

Ok let's fucking go. First, you're acting like someone's response to their own rape is a choice. ITS NOT. As someone studying psychology, I know this to be a fact. Also, all rape victims experience some type of trauma. No they do not all act the same, but it's still trauma. This (underage) boy was raped in an alley. There is ZERO chance he would not be traumatized by the experience. Yet, the rape is used as a building block to form a romantic relationship.

Let me be clear; a romantic relationship built off of RAPE is not a healthy one in the slightest. It would likely only be possible either because the victim is scared to leave due to perpetuated abuse, or because they have Stockholm Syndrome. Look that up if you do not know it. So basically, your argument completely falls apart because there is 0 possibility that a boy being raped in an alley would not cause trauma.

If you want more proof that there would have been trauma, you can look at the physical aspect as well. The seme first grabs him and then rapes him with absolutely no preparation. In the manga, the uke gets pleasure from this, but in real life he would have torn his asshole. He would have felt nothing but pain, yet the rape is romanticized and the author makes him feel pleasure.

And, even if he did feel pleasure in a realistic scenario, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a traumatic experience.

Overall, the fact that you're not understanding that being raped in an alley would be traumatic no matter what, and this trauma doesn't make you weak, means you clearly don't get anything. This is one of the biggest reasons why this portrayal of rape is toxic: it allows people like you to believe that rape isn't always traumatic, that it can even lead to healthy relationships. IT CANNOT. RAPE IS ALWAYS TRAUMATIC. RAPE IS NOT A BUILDING BLOCK OF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS. Again I hope to god you're just a naive child.
