Narrative preferences differ among people, which is why it’s important to not interject personal bias into art. You can certainly have your personal preferences, but don’t yuck someone else’s yum because that piece resonates positively to them.
I wouldn't put rape in the same level as a personal preference. It's okay to respect our differences but if in a story that they include rape as jokes or something horny, they're crossing a boundary there.
