Usually I'd be like, what do you expect? It's a mafia story with murder, prostitution, mutilation, child abuse and human trafficking etc. BUT Sehyuk, despite all of that, never forced him the whole time. He didn't want a relationship established by force but one where Hamin would come to him of his own accord so their first time being rape is well...doesn't check out. It could've easily been done like the second sex scene instead. It could've started off forceful and he stops and then Hamin insists to continue in his thundered way.

There was even a perfect opportunity with Hamin's apology in the first scene to have Sehyuk actually stop and establish that Hamin could have apologized at any time and stopped things, but Hamin was just too stubborn to admit he was wrong at first. If Sehyuk stopped, accepted the apology, and asked if Hamin really wanted things to end, and Hamin admitted that he actually didn't, because Hamin's got a dark side to him as well...would have been perfect. All the forcefulness, all the "Sehyuk does what he wants", even still have Hamin railed into unconsciousness and pissed off that Sehyuk pushed him so hard for his first time. But with the context that Hamin could have swallowed his pride and been spared most of it and he chose not to, because Hamin is a sucker for Sehyuk's dark side. Would have fit with their characters so much better.
Dumb af. All that pining only for their relationship to amount to FWB while pretending they're not FWB for YEARS. It makes no sense realistically speaking and if there are people who genuinely put themselves through years of a relationship of uncertainty where neither takes the first step, then y'all have a separate problem. 5 years makes sense. But until they're past their 30s? Like, it's not like it's just a few years. At some point, someone would get over the relationship and move on. Or at least in this case, they should.
I wrote a rant a while ago about the MC had it still hangs true. It annoys me because HE is ME. I never confess, my pride is too high and my anxiety as a result is also peaked. As a result, I am now a 24 year old that has never dated, kissed, or even HELD HANDS with anyone. And the idea of openly pursuing someone through dating apps also hits my pride too hard.
My point is, I know how frustrating that behaviour, I related HARD with the main character and that is PRECISELT why I dislike him so much.

Honestly, i'm just confused. Can someommne clarify for me?
Im not getting the timeline but I guess Yeonan is scared of commitment and a relationship when he thinks he will be alone one day anyway because Dalguk said he does not believe in forever
