Going back and re-reading... did Clark poison the kitten in ch.1? And if so does this point to him being a psychopath? Because though he shows tendencies I really don't think he is. Oh. Is it that twisted satisfaction that he is aware of something horrible that others don't? The kitten is dead but the girls are unaware? What is the point of that scene hmmm... And the fact that he /doesn't/ want Alex to get caught ever. AHHHH!

I dont think clark poisoned the kitten, the seemingly innocent girl classmate did. Clark is a sociopath and manipulative but i dont take him as a blunt murderer. He never likes to get his hands outright dirty, but prefers subtle manipulation than straight aggression.
That prologue tells us why the young clark aspired to become a crime reporter. He came to notice never judge ppl by the book. In this case for eg, his classmate gave an impression to others through facade innocent appearance, no one would even take her a cruel person who can kill animal. But Clark was the only one who knew her twisted side, it began to develop his hobby to profile criminals.

I really don't think it was Clark either, and now that you mention it, yes it would be very fitting if the girl did it! However after reading the rest of the comic I believe Clark ISN'T a sociopath. He will go through extreme lengths to protect those he cherishes (sociopaths are selfish to the core, they would never risk their own lives), and has shown genuine kindness and empathy. My real question now is what made him have such twisted morals, and why he feels the need to be so in control that he will repress his own feelings, show no vulnerabilities, and even hoard secrets. We know very little of his past. So saucy!!

Alex is obviously jealous of anyone who's gettin closer wth clark. Previously he could kill his three ex in cold blood wthout second thought bc he only indulged into the feeling of being loved by someone, instead of truly loving them. Can you see when it comes to clark, he held back a lot and lately he become soft for him?

Yes! This is why Clark is so disturbed. Alex has rules for his murders, but Clark is a game changer; he is someone who Alex loves, that doesn't love Alex. Clark's plan was to steer Alex away from Therapist, his ex boyfriend who might still loves (I mean, he would literally die for him). But now we don't know how exactly Alex will react. Oh boy.

There's fine line btw these two terms, at least in this manga. Clark shows sign of sociopath with an exception to those who holds special place in his seemingly cold heart. Then enter alex, who was a sociopath, a self centered novelist, killed his ex who fell for him when things went sideways, he killed them without mercy. Alex seemed to be dangerously obsessed for the first time towards other person, that's none others but clark. That makes a psycopath now.
Complicated, but tbh i just love how the protagonists character evolved here. So juicy!
